Education and Credentials
Masters of Science in Education: Mount St. Mary’s College, Los Angeles, CA, May of 1997:
Master of Science thesis required research methods to compare courses and training that used dialogue and discussion as the primary instructional method compared to lecture and chapter presentations in both educational graduate courses and in a school setting during professional development days. The findings and recommendations were presented to the President’s cabinet and faculty of the Education department to highlight the positive impact of dialogue and discussions on adult learning and real application. Note: Coursework was also completed for eligibility of California Preliminary Professional Administrative Services Credential.
California Professional Administrative Services Clear Credential Graduate Coursework: National University, San Jose, CA. Cohort 1999-2001:
Based upon CA Standards for School Leaders the program courses provided practical application of learning during the first two years of serving as a school administrator and a required research project based upon direct school site application. This program was required for the clear credential.

California Professional Administrative Services Credential: May 1999:
Obtained eligibility-preliminary credential, clear credential obtained 2001 after completing Tier II requirements. Current until 2028.
California Professional Clear Single Subject Teaching Credential - English/English Language Development for Preschool, TK-12 and Adult Education: July 1999: Current until 2028.
Cross Cultural, Language and Academic Development Coursework and Certificate: 1994:
Required for instruction for English Language Development (ELD) and Specially Designed Academic Instruction Delivered in English (SDAIE) and includes cultural awareness and competencies as a component of the instructional practices.
